Frequently asked questions

Questions before starting therapy?

Here are the practical details clients often want to know before beginning therapy.

FAQ

Online therapy logistics, insurance, and fit.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

At this time, sessions are online for adults located in Maine or New York.

Who do you work with?

I work with adults 18+ navigating trauma, eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, relationship patterns, identity questions, and emotional overwhelm.

Do I need a formal eating disorder diagnosis?

No. You do not need a diagnosis to seek support for distress around food, body image, restriction, bingeing, compulsive exercise, or shame.

Do you offer consultation calls?

Yes. Some people prefer to schedule a first full session right away, while others like to start with a brief free consultation call to ask questions and get a sense of fit.

What happens during a consultation call?

The consultation is a brief conversation to understand what you’re hoping for, discuss logistics, and decide whether working together feels like a good fit.

Do you take insurance?

Insurance availability may vary by state, plan, and platform. You can check current coverage through Headway or email me with questions.

Are online sessions effective?

Many clients appreciate online therapy because it reduces commuting time and lets them meet from a familiar space. We can discuss whether virtual therapy is a good fit for your needs.

What if I am in crisis?

This website and email are not emergency support. If you are in immediate danger or crisis, call 988, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
